I ordered this tip because I had burned through (literally) the three other tips I used for the same purpose, sometimes I have found referred to as writing tips, which I used particularly for bolder edge lines, or rough shading, particularly useful to me when doing tree trunks and branches and roofs. I have found the tip being reviewed here to be potentially more durable because it seems to have thicker metal and a larger gap at the curved tip end, which I envision makes it likely to last longer. Its deficiency for me is that its burn line is slightly broader, less refined, and it seems to have more drag to it when making its strokes. In short, I got more or less what I expected from what was described at purchase, but if it had the same finesse as the troublesome tips it replaced I would probably prefer to use the other version. As is, I consider this new tip a fair trade-off.
Super easy process, quick shipping and couldn't be happier with the woodburning tips! Will be ordering again in the future!
